Our History - Some of F&E's outstanding achievements :-

  • Creating what has become the 3rd in size but arguably the most important aviation event in the world, attracting regular participation by up to 900 of the leading aerospace companies from over 46 countries and drawing trade visitors from 106 nations - The Dubai Air Show.

  • Initiating the first-ever IDEX International Defence Exhibition in Abu Dhabi, UAE in 1993 which instantly became the best event of its kind in the world.

  • Immediately following the Gulf War in 1991 F&E reintroduced British technology, products and services via a major trade show "Opportunity Gulf" featuring 135 companies, conceived and delivered in less than 7 weeks.

  • Overcoming major obstacles, F&E met the challenge to present "Rebuild Lebanon", a major international construction and utilities event held in Beirut in 1994 immediately following the end of civil war in that country.

  • In 1992, following withdrawal of trade embargoes, F&E pioneered the re-introduction of South African products and services onto the commercial circuit via a major trade show in Dubai, UAE.

  • F&E ran two editions of Qatar Sports International in 2002 and 2004 in Doha, vital business opportunities for the sports goods and infrastructure industries to introduce their products and services in preparation for the 2006 Asian Games in Qatar.

  • F&E conceived and established the internationally famous Arab Health series of exhibitions in the Middle East and ran the event from its inception in 1977 through until 1994 when the event was acquired by another organizer. Similarly F&E founded the Middle East Construction Exhibition in 1976, the first major international exhibition ever to be held in the Gulf, and the Middle East Electricity series of events presented in UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait between 1978 until 1994.

  • During its history F&E has organized events for virtually every major industry sector and has operated in every continent of the world.
